Eccleston Engineering was engaged by a local plastics batching company to provide a bespoke barrel tumbling machine. The brief for the machine included a safe loading and unloading process, intelligent controls with self-righting capability, and a robust cage which fitted into a confined area.
A site survey and detailed discussions with the client produced a detailed specification for both the performance and physical characteristics of the machine.
The design and build process incorporated a facility for multiple barrel size options with a potential mass of up 250kg. A special retention system was devised which afforded a single machine the versatility to handle different barrel options.
Eccleston Engineering worked closely with all members of the team, including the client, end users and suppliers to ensure this bespoke solution was delivered on-time and on-budget.
Throughout the entire process we always considered the requirement to deliver this project safely, reliably and to the highest standard.
